What is Exposed Aggregate Concrete?Concrete aggregate is a surface that is created by removing the top layer of concrete to expose the aggregate (stones or pebbles) underneath. An exposed aggregate look can be achieved by either batching the stones into the mix or by seeding it onto the surface.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO POUR AND SET AGGREGATE CONCRETE?Pouring and setting concrete aggregate is a two-part process. When it comes to pouring, depending on the space, we will aim to get the job done within a few hours. Once we have poured the concrete it will need to set and harden prior to applying pressure to the surface. Once the concrete has semi-dried we then remove the top layer of concrete to expose the aggregate underneath, before finishing and sealing it. Once the concrete has been sealed we recommend not walking on the surface for 24 hours. If you have used the product for a driveway, we recommend not driving on the surface for 7 days to allow sufficient time for the product to set and harden.

The finishing coating that we apply to the finished product will act as a barrier against excess rain, sun, and debris. Due to the small stones, exposed aggregate can also provide a surface that is not as slippery as some others making it the perfect addition to any pool area.
