Options to Consider for Pool Surrounds

Pool areas have moved far beyond the standard pavers that we used to see. Standard brick pavers are outdated and are known for their dipping and cracking making them a sub-par choice when it comes to the surrounding surface area of your pool. When you opt for concrete as the surface that surrounds your pool you are receiving an excellent product which will last the distance. Concrete is extremely water resistant, in fact some pools are made entirely out of concrete. Once the concrete has been sealed, the risk of water damage is practically nil.

Concrete is very versatile and is easily matched with most materials. It can be used in conjunction with other materials such as decking, gardens, slatted wood, colourbond and more to create depth. We can also lay foundations to prepare for decking inside your pool area.

Concrete for your Outdoor Pool Areas

Our team specialise in pouring concrete around pool areas and will take great care in ensuring the concrete stays out of the pool. We know how much time and effort goes into pool care and understand how difficult it can be to remove extraneous materials for the water.

We also take great care with the surrounds of your property. Many pool areas feature gardens and are quite close to the home, so we ensure that we are careful around these areas to prevent any damage.

We can generally pour your pool area concrete over a one-day period depending on the size of the area. Once we have discussed the design and measured the area we will advise an estimate of the time needed to finish the work. We will do our best not to disturb your day-to-day activities and keep our noise to a minimum. We use only the highest quality materials when we supply services to our clients.

Our concrete and materials are sourced from high quality and reputable suppliers to ensure that the overall quality is to the highest degree. We also service our tools and machinery frequently to make sure that it is working to the very best standard.

How long do I have to wait before I can walk on the concrete and use my pool?

After we have laid the concrete we will return to seal it. We recommend around 7 days to allow for the concrete to cure and set. Walking on the concrete any sooner that this can result in dips in the concrete causing unevenness and a poor overall result.
